Sebastian Telfer - The Hosts

Sebastian Telfer has had many years experience working on cars. From his first car, a 1979 Honda Civic to a 1992 Nissan Pulsar, Sebastian has never been afraid of getting his hands dirty. He has owed 7 cars, all of which received many hours of love and sweat. One of most loved vehicles was his 1976 Austin Mini. It was this iconic car that helped Sebastian understand how fixing cars could be a pleasure and a pain.

In the past ten years Sebastian has spent time overseas and got to meet many interesting characters. In one such occasion, Sebastian got to place a lapel microphone on Secretary of State General Colin Powell during a pre G8 conference. While in Canada, Sebastian gained insightful experiences with the First Nations and even getting married! He was a much needed computer technician in the small community of Mount Currie, which is located an hour outside of the Whistler, the famous ski resort. He would be called upon to fix anything, from broken cordless phones, video cassette recorders and even a “Tickle-Me Elmo”. His highlight of the time was dressing up as Barney for a rodeo and nearly collapsing from heat exhaustion.

More recently Sebastian finished his Bachelor’s degree in Screen and Performing Arts and has gone on to become an established editor. His skills as an editor has grown exponentially from working on the Royal New Zealand Ballet’s production of “RED” to editing for the television documentary series “Open Door”

Currently, Sebastian has been involved in the EV Project from very early on. One of his dreams is to combine his skills in machinery and computers with his love for documentary making and television.
